I have it, too, but don't use it---too much time!
it is kind of a miniblog- you get lots more conversations going than in your blog...and gain access to those in your topic of interest. (more than usual w/ blogging)
People come and go as followers- no big deal. Fun is in finding new things going on- instantly! Useful for widening the reach of your blog (hook up your rss to it)
